How We Help You
We don't have a one-size-fits all approach to horsemanship. We start by conducting a
skills assessment of you and your horse, which you keep to help you assess your progress. Together with you, we build a program that's right for you and your horse based on that assessment.
Your program may include groundwork for your horse, riding exercises to refine your seat, confidence building exercises, reading or lecture materials, fitness exercises or whatever else is best for you. We will help you understand the
constants of good conformation, and how they can help you help your horse. You can learn the
best feeding program for your horse and how (and when) to adjust it. Find out what
grooming is essential to the horse's health, and what just
makes owners feel good.
One of the most important things we teach is
what to do when things go wrong. We make sure that you have a secure, independent seat so you can deal with spooking, bucking, or runaways confidently.
You will understand not just how, but why, there are
universal methods in horsemanship.
